Stories About My Brothers: Columbia
An examination of the visible and invisible scars of Black men shaped by systemic struggles, generational trauma, and social expectations, situating them at the intersection of nature and nurture. A key theme of the exhibition is the exploration of relationships, both biological and chosen, and how they influence one's sense of self.
These works ask the question: "Can these bonds transcend the external forces that often try to impose identity?
Stories About My Brothers offers a layered dialogue about selfhood, resilience, and the human experience in relation to Black masculinity.
By blending his personal history with collective struggles, Greene provides a platform for underrepresented voices, encouraging a deeper conversation about place, identity, and perseverance.
